Can I work in us with L1 visa

Hi,

I am having L1b visa from MNC and my wife is having H1b from her company.

Now my wife got project from her company and she is travelling to us in October for long time.

i will ask my company for transfer me to same location as we have branch and I have l1 visa, in case they don’t accept , I have to go with my wife with h4visa. Once I reach there can I apply for job in my same company,since I have l1 from them…?
