Can I travel with H4 when i have valid H1B stamping

Hi,

I am working in india and I have valid H1B stamping till Oct 2018 processed by current employer.

But, in near future i will not get any ooputunity to travel on H1B.My husband is working in US on H1B.

So I decided to resign the job in india and apply for H4.

Now my question is, if i travel on H4 will i come under cap exampted and is there any way i can work in US.

Please help with your valueble input.

Even if you travel on H-4, you are still considered cap-exempt for future H-1 petitions. No need to go through the cap/lottery again.
