Can I start working for a company once I get the H1B transfer receipt?

Hi,

Can I start working for a company once I receive the H1B transfer reciept without getting the appoval?

I am currently transfering my H1B to a company A. Can I start working for the company once I get the H1B receipt or do I need to wait for an approval?

if your h1b is in status, yes.

That means, if your h1b was approved last year or before (since its not oct 1st yet)
