Can I get a CPT with new degree after completing OPT?

I graduated with a bachelor in 2013 and completed my one year of OPT on April 2014. Although I used OPT, I never had CPT before.

It’s now 2016 and I’m back in the USA pursuing a different degree, but also a bachelor just like my previous one. Can I apply for part-time CPT now or does the fact that I already had an OPT before negate my right to CPT now?

You should not have any issues with CPT, I believe. Check with your international office DSO.

It is only OPT that has that rule and more than a year of continuous CPT will take an year off of your OPT…
