can I complete ds 160 with my maiden name passport?

i’m about to finish the DS 160 but my passport is not changed yet to my married name. I used my married name on my immigrant application. There’s a question about passport number in DS 160, can I use my maiden name passport for now and use that passport number? I’m planning to change my passport before i go for interview since they require CFO seminar for name change because I’m married to a US citizen. Got married last March 8, 2014. Please advise…

It does not matter. Many married Indian women carry maiden name on passport.

But my form I-130, G 325 and DS 160 I used my married name. Will they reject my visa application if I use my passport number under my maiden name. I e mail visa center but no one replied.

If you are very worried, simply get ‘one and the same person in all documents’ affidavit with ‘name was changed from such and such to such and such under Hindu Marriages Act 1955’ from any courthouse service. The US officer anyway does not look at the Indian passport, they are more interested in the I-130 and G-325.
