Can I come back to US for work after H1B petition withdrawal?

Hi, I have a valid H1B visa till Aug, 2017. Due to some personal reasons, I have to go back to India for 6-8 months and want to come back in US. Here are my questions:

  1. If employer withdraws my petition that means my visa is cancelled or revoked?
  2. After petition withdrawal process, do I have any options to get it back or can I come back to US for work?
