Can i apply SSN with H-4 and I hold H1B also.

Hi freinds,

I travelled to US with H4. And I have valid H1 B also which will be valid till sep-2015 and H1 transfer not yet completed. Can I apply the SSN now.

Please do needful.

SSN can be applied once your status has changed to H-1. Your current status is H-4 based on your latest I-94. Once H-1 transfer w/ COS has been approved, you can apply for SSN.
