Can I apply for Day1 CPT while I await my EAD that I’ll be getting from ‘Change of Status (I539)’ application from F1 to H4?
I had applied for I539 and I765 based on my partner’s approved I140 in August 2020. My STEM OPT expired on Feb 2021 hence I couldnt work after that. I was planning on joining a Day 1 CPT which will help me work till the time I dont get my EAD. My question is if I am eligible to join a Day 1 CPT since my STEM OPT on my I20 expired on Feb 2021 but on my visa on my passport says the expiration date of June 2021. Also, will I be able to apply for a Day 1 CPT?, as I have applied for my COS from F1 to H4?
Please can someone let me know if I will be able to do that?

F1 visa expiration date: June 2021.
STEM OPT Expired on: Feb 2021.
H4 and H4 EAD applied on: August 2020
