Can a H4 dependent work for a software company in US?

Hi There,

My petition got approved recently and I may get the stamping date soon (if everything goes fine!).

Well, My doubt here is; my wife works in the same company which I am working. If I take her along with me to US on H4; then I hope she need to leave the job in India and at the same time, she cannot work in US for any other software companies?

Is my perception correct? Please help!!

Yes, she cannot work. She need to have a H1 to work in USA.
