Born in Bahrain!! is there any advantage while applying for GC?

Dear Team,

I am from India and currently working in US on H1B visa. My wife is also in USA on H4 visa status. She is having Indian passport however her country of birth is Bahrain. She stayed there for 15 years.

We need to know if she can apply for US citizenship on H4 visa provided her country of birth is Bahrain.
Also is it really going to help us if the birth place is Bahrain?

Her country of birth will be helpful.

What you need to do is start your own employment based green card process. Get the PERM and I-140 approved. After that use your wife’s country of birth to file I-485 for both of yourselves. You can look-up priority dates for EB-3 and EB-2 for rest of the world to know how soon 485 can be applied.
