Hi,
My mother has recently changed her official name to Manju Shukla which is her name in her Indian passport too. She changed it by using the name affidavit and declaring it in local newspaper few years ago.
But all her education certificates has her older name Santosh Kumari(different first name) Misra (surname before marriage).
My question is if I am required to mention her older name in “other names” section of DS 160 form? Santosh Kumari Misra is currently not used by her anywhere.
I am a little bit confused about the fact that if they ask for her educational documents and the first name will not match then will that affect her visa approval? Please let me know.
