Applying for H1 to L1. Is it a good move? Pros and cons

Hi,

I live in US in H 4 visa. Our visa will expire soon and we have started to apply for extension. is it a good idea for my husband to apply for L1 visa so that I can work on L2. Can some one explain the pros and cons of this ?

what are the chances of visa getting rejected?

Visa rejection/approval is always a case to case basis. Please discuss that with your employer/attorney.

Pros of L1/L2:

L2 can work.

Cons of L1:

You cannot switch employer.

Pros of H1:

You can switch the employer.

The minumum wages has to be from LCA.

Cons:

H4 cannot work.
