Applying for a student visa???

USA F1, F2 Visas - CPT - OPT

I have a student visa valid till 2016 for completing my Masters from an University(Fall 2011 Admit) but due to personal family problems I dropped the coursework.

Now I got admit for pursuing MBA( Fall 2013 Admit) from a different university and got the I20 from this university.

So do I have to apply for a student visa again??

As per Consulate visa officer in India , You need to reapply as University mentioned on the earlier visa has changed
