Applying B2 for my in-laws while my H1B amendment is still in process

Hello All,My H1B visa amendment is in process since oct 2017.I am planning to apply B2 for my in-laws to visit us during this summer.Should I wait till I get amendment process to complete to apply for B2? or Can I proceed with B2 for my in-laws with the amendment reciept? Also want to know will it have any negative impact on H1B amendment or B2 Visa.Please suggest me.Thanks in advance!

Just go ahead with your amendment receipt as proof. All that matters is that you have an approved petition to stay in USA, even in case the amendment gets denied, your original status/role is still valid until its expiry.
