After DUI and Travel to india

Hi,

I was arrested for DUI last year Nov 2015, But my H1B is expiring in Sep 2016, is it advisable to travel to India, or will it create an issues at the port of entry.

I would suggest talking to your immigration attorney about this.

I received an internal memo from my attorney, who suggested that US Consular posts have received new guidance to revoke the visa if the person was arrested or convicted for DUI in past 5 years anywhere in the world. Based upon that, your visa stamping may run into issues. So it would be prudent to talk to an immigration attorney before leaving US.
