Last night at 12:00am i get caught when i drive and i dont have a licness and leraner permit. This happened in MD and the law in MD says i have to go to jail for max 60 days and fine $500. Is there any way that i can just pay the fine and not going to jail? Im 21 and this my first time when i get introuble i never done wrong before. And even if i go to jail for 2 months by this case they will deny it next year when i apply for citizen? Im a green card holder

Maryland Law states $500 penalty OR 60 days jail or both. As Snowinter just said, contact a traffic defense attorney immediately, Randolph Rice 410-288-2900 is very good at what he does. DWL is not a felony offense.

DWL is fine or jail but not always both unless you present a fake document when police stopped you. Officer would have booked you for process (into jail) right away but looks like that did not happen. Admit to your fault, pay the fine, DO NOT contest it. Traffic offense is not relevant to citizenship unless you are driving while intoxicated, hit someone and do not stay on scene of accident or use fake ID.
