Working from outside US after H1B denial for a new employer

My H1B extention petition got denied for my current employer and my I94 has already expired.The end client petitioned for my transfer/extension before we learnt about the denial.I know I have to leave the ASAP for now.My question is can I continue working for the end client from outside the US, while I’m waiting for an approval on the end client’s petition ?
