what is the time taken for H4 to F1 conversion

Hi,

How much time will it take for H4 to F1 conversion?

1)Please let me know average time.My husband is in H4 visa and he is trying to apply for COS for F1.

2)Also,how much time will it take to convert to F1 to OPT?

  1. COS processing in general takes 2-4 months. If RFE is issued then it can take longer.

  2. OPT request is usually processed in 2-3 months. It is generally recommended to file for post-completion OPT 2-3 months prior to graduation.
