What is the procedure to apply for L1 to H1b COS?

Hi,

Can someone provide me the details of the process involved in COS from L1B to H1b? The details I’m looking for are regarding the timelines when the application should be sent? Does this also have to go through the normal procedure like a new H1 petition approval?

Conversion of Visa status L1 to H1B happens in nomal yearly H1B Cap count only. For year 2013 it is already over. Next year you can submit your H1B petition for year 2014 conversion. Fees would be 2250 USD
