What is H4 to H1 COS does it come under 65000 quota ?

Hi ,

I have read a lot about h4 to h1 cos still i am not clear on this .

my wife has got H4 stamping done . and when she comes to USA she wants to work .

She does not have any H1b petition from any company.

can she convert H4 to H1 legally ? if so does it not come under 65000 quota ?

please explain this h4-to-h1-cos when its applicable

She must go thru lottery and 65k quota… After approval she can go for COS from H4 to H1…

H4 to H1 alone is not possible… Must hold Approved H1 to go for COS
