What if Visa date has expired by the time Visa stamping is Issued after clearing 221G

Do I need to renew it and go through the stamping? Or I have to start with fresh Visa application

Asking this question because 221G was cleared after 1, 1.5 year for some ppl per the forums and if this case applies to me what will I do as my visa validity is for 1 year.

If the petition expires, then you will first have to get petition renewed (cap-exempt petition). Once approved, go for stamping through the new petition.
