I think the answer of this question is very important for those who are waiting for H1B decision being outside of US.
My company petitioned me for H1B on April 1 2013 and I’m in regular processing. Tracking my case I see the status: “Initial Review”. They say that processing time in both California and Vermont Service Centers is 2 month. It’s already more 2 month passed after April 30 and no change on my case. I have serious doubts that will not get decision till October 1 (Fiscal Year Start).
I have 2 questions regarding it.
- Is it possible to get decision after october 1.
2.In case if I get approval after october 1, will I have to wait 1 more year to start working on October 2014 (next fiscal year).
