##URGENT ## L1A visa extension/renewal during h1b cos approved ?? ##

[b]Current visa active[/b] : L1 A ,expiry by May 14th 2014



[b]other visa[/b] : H1b approved on 2013 quota  and approved upto 2016 oct



[b]Current status[/b]: I am back to my country due to personal issues on Aug 15th 2013 after confirmation of h1b petition approval

[b]1) as I am in my own country whats the best way to go back to USA ,[/b]



     a) h1b  stamped  ??



     b)  Going on USA with L1A  and extend my visa and run for few months and switch back  to H1b ??



[b]2) L1a visa extension/renewal is feasble solution to do now as left with few months or how many months  should apply  or whats the main cretreia needed for approval ??[/b]



[b]3)If I go for  h1b stamping as I am in my own country ,if i got  denied  is it they cancel my L1A also or keep it  as it will expiry?[/b]



[b]4) My work is not confirmed with my current L1A ,, can i do extent/renew my L1A  visa  by staying at  own country to use further ??[/b]

  1. H1B would have got approved with Change of Status to H1B correct. So technically, you need to get the H1B Stamped befor travel. Else you need to apply for another COS from H1B to L1A.

  2. I wouldn’t recommend L1A extn since your H1B is available for 3 more yrs. Why waste money on extn?

  3. Typically, your L1A should still be valid.
