I was on L1 Visa with company A and the I94 expiry date was April 11th 2014. My wife had L2 and her I94 also had the same expiray date as mine. Company B has sponsored my H1B visa for the year 2013. My H1B got approved as of Ocotber 4th 2012. My employer has missed to file my wife’s L2 to H4 conversion and planning to file it immediately. But my attorney has mentioned that my wife has to go back to India for getting the conversion and stamping. Please let me know if there is any way to get the conversion complete without going back to INDIA.
