Here’s a tricky one. I work for a consulting firm company A, my client is company X. I got an offer from company X, they filed for my H1B which is currently in RFE Pending status, hoping to file a response in 4-5 weeks. In the meantime, company A has reached out to apply for H1B extension, since my current H1B expires in 5 months.
Is it legally okay to have these two applications at the same time ? What are the risks ? Any chance that USCIS tells company A about my other petition ?
