Travelling to Canada for H1-B Visa Stamping

I have travelled to USA on L1B visa and stayed for 5 years. Now my passport visa is expired in 2015 but I am working on H1 B I94 documents and valid till May 25th 2018. Recently I got extension approved from May 26 to till 2020. Now I got a situation to travel Canada this weekend on 6th May 2018. Suppose if go for US Embasy visa stamping on 7th May 2018 for new extension, did I get visa stamping effective day immediately like 7th May 2018 or 26th May 2018??

Please help me

I have been to Ottawa consulate twice for H1B stamping, you will receive your passport back within 3-4 working days. My appointment was on Tuesday or Wednesday and I received the passport by Friday. Don’t go to Montreal consulate as they take forever to process your request if you receive an RFE. I doubt if you will get an appointment on such short notice for stamping though.

Hi Maxrev,
To pick the passport, shall I go to Point-of-Sale Delivery or give my friends home address… which is fast way to pick the passport. Actually my appointment is on Thursday…

You can pick it up from Canada Post location below which is right downtown or other location of your choice

I have 1 more questions, Can I carry my mobile and backpack to US embassy in canada? I mean to keep switch off mobile and backpack in locker room in US Embassy. Do they have locker room facility where I can drop my mobile and bag .
