Travelling India after applying H1 while on H4

Hi,

I am on H4 now and applied for my H1. I planned to travel India in this month and comeback in the month of May or June. Will I face any issues to get my H1 petition approved due to this travel? (once I get through the lottery ;)).

Can someone suggest me best option please?

This has been discussed many times over in this forum.

You won’t face any issues if you return by May. However, if you’ve applied for H-1B in the US, it’s always better to come back immediately once your application is picked up in lottery.

In addition, if you applied for COS, then the same will be abandoned once you leave US. You will remain in H-4 status even after H-1 gets approved.
