Travelling 3 weeks before Joining date on H1b

Hi,

I have got my H1b approved from Oct 1st . My joining date in the US is from the 2nd week of January 2014 , but i will be travelling to the US in the 3rd week of Dec to be on a vacation with my wife . Is it ok to travel 3 weeks in advance from joining date , would the immigration officals at the airport raise any red flags ?

Thanks Rana, just found a DOL link which says that , overseas h1b candidates have 30 days time from the date of their entry to the United states to report to their employer . For H4 to H1b COS its’s 60 days.
