Travelled on Family Emergency when H4 Visa is pending, will the H4 get abandoned?

Travelled to India on family Emergency when H4 Visa is pending. It is more than 4 months now. My son is still in US on same receipt Number. What will happen to My H4 will it get abandoned? and what will happen to my son’s receipt. Should I re-apply for H4? if so how many days is the process timeline. Appreciate your inputs on this.

This doesn’t get abandoned. I went for stamping with primary holder H1B copy with paystubs and emp verification letter. I’m through. Just wanted to update this. Thanks
