Time to get i797 petition hard copy.?

Hi Saurabh,

Recently my H1 got approved from consultancy X and yet to receive approval papers.

 

1. It was approved on feb 18th. How long does it take to get the i797 petition hard copy.? Checked with consultancy  and they told they havn't received papers yet.

 

2. I 've approached consultancy  'Y' for transfer. Now, he is asking my previously approved file number and company (X) name.

Is it safe to provide those information to'Y' before receiving approval papers from 'X'.

(Now, I've eac number and approved status from usics site).

 

Please suggest.

  2. If you trust the employer w/ transfer then you can provide them that information. They will need it for the cap-exempt case.
