Hi all, I am really worried about my opt. USCIS has received my application on october 14th and today is January 10th. and my case is still in the first satge that is the site states that the case is received. There is no further process. And I have noticed spelling mistake on my receipt in my first name just two days back and opened a case. Will this be a problem? What might be the reasons for the delay. Beacuse my friends who have applied by Nov 1st week have got their EAD cards.
180 days is standard processing time for many applications and often the site is not updated. Maybe you will just get what you are waiting for in the mail one of these days.

Yeah, but I graduated on december 12th and if 180 days is standard time, and I get a rejection notice after february 12th (which will exceed the 60 days period of my post graduation). What should I do? As I cant re-apply for opt after feb 12th.
