Submit Clearance certificate from Indian Police

Hi All,

I had my B1 VISA interview today, and after the interview have been issued a 221(g) letter stating that

submit a cleared Indian Police certificate from the regional passport officesubmit the passport at nearest VAC.Kindly let me know what does this mean. I understand that this means my application requires some more administrative processing as the Officer explained.Once I submit the documents what are the chances of my VISA getting approved. Kindly advise.Thanks a lot in advance.

No one can say with certainty what will be the eventual outcome. However, they have asked for passport submission, which is a positive sign.
