Stayiing in USA with Valid VISA and I-94 till March 2017

My employer is asking me to go back to India on 03/31. New Employer will be filing H1B transfer on 04/07.Can I stay in USA from 04/01 till I get my H1B receipt number. H1B VISA and I-94 are vaild till March 2017. Need your suggestion.Shashi

Yes you can stay back. This becomes a problem when a revocation notice is filed by previous employer. Most don’t do it.

I doubt if that will be asked. Most current is 30 days old by definition
