Same employer & job role, but moving to different state will affect green card process?

I am holding H 1-B and recently switched to a new full time job. My employer has transferred my H 1-B with ‘change of status’ on their name which is valid for next 2.4 years.
My employer is now going to start the process to file my green card. My questions is - can I change the State after my green card process starts? or my LC is stuck to the location/state?
Basically my employer and job role will be exactly the same, I only want to move to another state to join my family and hence will join the same company but in different state and city location.
Can I move to another state? If no, then at what stage of green card I can move to different state? Or I will have to stay in the same current state forever?
Or is it advised to first move to the state which I want to and then start my green card process?
Please advise?

If your Green Card is sponsored by a specific employer and that is not changing by your move, you will be okay. National monitoring of an employer is done via their FEIN which stays the same irrespective of State jurisdiction changes. Hope this helps.
