Renewing H1B/H4 visa - help in filling DS-160 with different Indian embassy location

Hi, our current situation:

  • last H1B/H4 visa was renewed (as dropbox) at Mumbai, India.
  • place of residence: USA

This time we want to renew it from Kolkata, India, but everything else remains the same, so what should I answer to the following question in DS-160:

“Are you applying in the same country or location where the visa above was issued, and is this country or location your place of principal of residence?”

  • “The visa above” is H1B (and H4 for my spouse) issued in Mumbai, India

You need to answer ‘yes’ as your last renewal was from India. Thr consulate place do not matter.
