Renewal of Passport beyond the expiry date which is in 2015

Hi all,

My passport will be expired on sep-06-2015.

I may go for VISA interview in feb-2013.

So once after getting stamped it will be a cut short of the period.

Is it possible to renew my passport beyond expiry date.

If yes how much time more it will take

I don’t think you can apply for passport renewal more than 1 year in advance. You can appear for visa stamping as per your plan. Later get the passport renewed when the time arrives. If the visa stamp expiration is more than passport expiration, then you need to carry both passports when travelling in and out of US.
