Renew expired petition and never entered in US before

Hi,

My visa and petition expired in September 2017, i got 3 years visa and petition but I don’t get any opportunities.

Can I renew same petition from same employer again?

You can ask your employer to file an extension of H1B without going through H1B lottery again.

Thank you for your reply. If the employer revoke my h1b, still it possible for same employer for file extension?

I read in few posts that if the H1 B is not activated you can not go for extension.
Activation means the petition/visa should have been used at least once.
please double check on this.
