I have been selected for a research position in Boston, USA.
I have one small question regarding the visa.
I have my B1/B2 visa interview appointment in January 2023 and the J1 research visa interview might be in February 2023.
If my B1/B2 gets rejected by any chance would it affect my J1 visa?
Rejection of one visa do not impact the other however it depends on the reason of rejection. For e.g. if you get issued 214b because you did not overcome the presumption of immigrant intent, that may still be hold against you for any other non-immigrant visa class.
