Reg H1B extension - IS it possible to get the approval from India

Hi ,

I am currently in US and my H1B visa is getting expired by the month of November. My employer had filed H1B extenstion in normal processing.

Due to un-availability of project, might have to go back to india in few week, but the dates are not confirmed. As my Extenstion process alreasy started , will my india return affect the extention process?. can i come back to US once the extenstion is approved ? Please clarify.

Your 797 extension will continue to be processed, but I-94 extension will be abandoned. You can return to US using an unexpired petition and an unexpired visa stamp.
