I received 221(g) hand out on 29th December 2020 and my case was updated on 5th January 2020. It says ‘refused’ in the heading and the text is referred as 'A consular officer has adjudicated and refused your visa application. Please see the letter you received at the interview. For more information, please visit ’ My passport hasn’t left the consulate yet (6th of January). My question is- does this message mean my application is rejected or is there any chance I might still receive a positive response?
If it is the long message, it is not rejected. It is probably general message on adminstrative processing.
If they have taken your passport, it is still positive. read below
Hello thanx for replying… I read the thread and it was a long message but then it switched to shorter one with ‘refusal’ as the heading. The passport is still with them and now I am worried about B1B2 visa revocation. Is my fear valid?
