Hi,
I got my visa approved to a state univeristy. Now I am planing to transfer to a private univeristy i.e Northwestern Polytechnic University(NPU) before the start of the 1st semester. I heard that there might be a problem while processing the H1B visa for the private universities. What are the H1B chances for this univeristy(NPU)? Please let me know.
It would be very much helpful as I am in total confusion.
Thanks in advance.
You have 2 factors in favor - (1) the Institute is approved by California Department of Education and (2) it is accredited by ACICS. The third unknown factor is if NPU is a 501c3 nonprofit or not because 501c3 institutions receive preference. However 2 out of 3 in favor of your case is not bad. NPU awards doctorates too so BCIS will view it favorably. You will be approved.
Best wishes

Be careful with your decisions…talk to seniors they are the best source…check how many got their H1s how many got their H1 rejected. DO NOT JOIN private /for profit institutions…you wont qualify for master’s H1B…check all the laws…
