Problem for applying SSN

Hi,

I have applied my H1B with my old i94(H4 dependent i94). Recently I have traveled to India after my H1B approval, but entered back in H4 dependent with latest i94. My problem is I have a valid H1B approval copy but I could not apply my SSN now, because both i94 are different.

Please help me.

You are on H-4 status. You need to file COS from H-4 to H-1. Once approved, you will receive I-94 w/ H-1 annotation and can use it to apply for SSN.

The I-94 attached to your H-1 approval notice is no longer valid.
