Premium processing time for 2014 H1 B visa

Hi Saurabh,

For H1 B premium processing when will I get my visa on hand if I’m planning to file it in April 2014. I’m on L1 visa right now and planning to apply for H1 B this year.

It can get processed as quickly as 15 calendar days. If RFE is issued, then processing is put on hold until your employer responds to the RFE. Once approved, it will take 2-3 weeks for the petition to reach your employer.

However, you cannot start to work on H-1 until Oct 1 assuming H-1 is approved w/ COS.
