want to update my passport with correct place of birth, still to fill my DS160 and get appointment for interview.
But my H1 application is in approved stage now
Will this impact my H1b visa stamping ?

You can wait until you gets your latest passport then fill DS160 with the latest information. You have to carry both of the passports during your interview. If any questions arises about your updated passport, you need to be ready with proper answers.
