Obama's new policy on h4 work visa

Hello,

A lot is spoken about obama’s new policy on h4. can some one highlight in nut shell is it going to be beneficial to spouse like me who are on h4 visa and have just spent 1 year in US.

also, is 4 year degree compulsory to file for h1b in case one has found sponsor. I am onh4 visa and have 3 years bachelor degree with mba and 5 years of banking experience.

any help is appreciated…

The policy is still under discussion and exact details are not known. The initial draft mentioned that people on H-4 are eligible for EAD if the spouse has completed 6 years of H-1 in US, and has an approved I-140. This may change and more details will be known as the policy gets implemented.
