My H1B status is in initial review state. Can I travel to India now?

I am on H4 visa and applied for H1B visa this year (submitted COS). My h1b application is in initial review state. Can I travel to India now?

Please help me.

If you travel then your COS will be abandoned but H-1 will continue to be processed w/ consular processing. To move to H-1 status, you will have to file separate COS or enter US on stamped H-1 visa.
