Move to H1B or Not?

Hi,

Im based in India, 15 years in IT, 25 Lakh salary and family in India. Ive valid H1B from last employer. A US based consultant is offering me salary of $95K in NJ with H1B transfer.

  1. Is it would be a wise decision to move to US?

  2. Consultant told first fly to US on own and then appear for interview. So no firm offer. Is it the same way things happen?
