Hi,

I have moved from Client 1 to Client 2 in New York City locations itself (at a distance of less than a mile).

  1. Please advice if a new LCA is required.

  2. Will the employer have to file H1 B Amendment too?

  1. If they are in same MSA (metropolitan statistical area), then no LCA is required

  2. If no LCA is required, then no H-1 amendment is required.

Your employer/attorney should be able to make the determination in this regard.

Yes, it carries an expiration date. However it’s 797 associated with this LCA, whose expiration date matters.
