L2- H1B sponsorship from other than current employer

Hi,

I am currently on L2 Visa.

I am looking for H1B visa

My Current employer is not ready to sponsor my H1B.

I dont want to change my current employer at the same same time I needH1B also.

Can I get H1B sponsored from any other company.

Yes , that is possible. Right now , you are with company A ( L2 EAD ) and company B can sponsor H1B ( Which will come into effect only on or after oct 1st 2014 ). So if your H1B is applied with COS ( from L2 TO H1 ) and if it gets approved , then you will automatically move from L2 to H1B of new employer ( B ) with effective date given in petetion.

Im in the same situation.
My current employer is not ready to file H1B for me. Im in L2EAD working in company A.
Im looking for H1B sponsorship. If Company B files a H1B for me with Consulor processing, i can work in my current company until i get my H1B stamped (that will happen after i go to india and come back to US)
