Is H1B visa new stamping required before expire ?after extension approved

Hi,

My 1st petition validity : Oct 01 2017 to Sep 04 2020
Visa expiry date in stamping : Sep 04 2020
I94 Admit Until Date : Sep 04 2020
2nd petition(amendment) validity: Jul 03 2018 to Jul 02 2019 (Amendment due to new Location)

Now I’m in US and applied for extension and it is in progress… If i got approval and going back to India for short trip do i need to go for stamping or till Sep 04 2020 I can use the old stamping with new petition?

I have applied H4 extension for my family. Visa dates are also same for them.

You do not need to go for stamping as you have valid H1B stamping, until end of 2020. You can use it to re-enter US. You will need to submit proof of the your work in US, approval notices, etc.
